  1. PM Modi launched e-RUPI, a person and purpose specific digital payment. e-RUPI is a cashless and contactless instrument for digital payment. It is a QR code or SMS string-based e-Voucher, which is delivered to the mobile of the beneficiaries. The users of this seamless one-time payment mechanism will be able to redeem the voucher without a card, digital payments app or internet banking access, at the service provider.
  2. BJP MPs from Northeast meet PM over Assam, Mizoram clash.

The Ashoka Chakra is a depiction of the Dharma Chakra; a wheel represented with 24 spokes in buddhism. It is so called because it appears on a number of edicts of Ashoka, most prominent among which is the Lion Capital of Ashoka. The most visible use of the Ashoka Chakra today is at the centre of the Flag of India (adopted on 24 July 1947), where it is rendered in a navy blue colour on a white background, replacing the symbol of charkha (spinning wheel) of the pre-independence versions of the flag.

Why Cricket is not in Olympics :

Cricket cannot be really considered as a global sport. The maximum audience of cricket is from Asia only. Some big nations like USA, Japan, China, Russia, Germany are not at all interested in this sport.

ICC World Cup features only around 10-12 teams. So you can understand that if only 10 nations are there in the world cup then its scope is too small for global games like Olympics.

Another reason Why Cricket is not in Olympics is the time availability. If you are a cricket fan then you must be aware of the different cricket tournament that take place in a year. There is always a busy cricket calendar. The rise of T20 leagues across the world has also increased the number of tournaments in a year. So, it would be hard to arrange a proper time for Olympics.

How is ice less dense than water?

When a liquid is cooled, more molecules are brought closer together and need to be accommodated in a smaller area. This results in most solids having a greater density than liquids. Not so with ice. Water consists of positively-charged hydrogen atoms and negatively-charged oxygen atoms. When water cools, the hydrogen bonds adjust to hold the negatively-charged oxygen atoms apart, which prevents the ice from becoming any denser. So for water, the density actually decreases along with a decrease in temperature – causing ice to be less dense than water!
