Prithviraja III  (1178–1192 CE), popularly known as Prithviraj Chauhan or Rai Pithora, was a king from the Chahamana (Chauhan) dynasty. He ruled Sapadalaksha, the traditional Chahamana territory, in present-day north-western India. He controlled much of the present-day Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi; and some parts of Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Gujrat. His capital was located at Ajayameru (modern Ajmer).

He unified several Rajput clans and repelled a Ghorid invasion led by Shihabuddin Ghori. However, in 1192 CE, Shihabuddin returned with an army of mounted archers and defeated the Rajput army in the Second battle of Tarain, and executed Prithviraj shortly after. His defeat at Tarain is seen as a landmark event in the Islamic conquest of India.

Haldi-Ajwain pani (water)

This simple drink requires you to soak the ajwain or carom seeds in water overnight. The next day, boil this water with raw turmeric. Strain it and drink to benefit your health. Thus it helps to ease indigestion, if any. Turmeric too exhibits anti-bacterial properties due to the presence of curcumin in it.
