Thousand Pillar temple is situated in the heart of Warangal, the erstwhile capital of the region during the Kakatiya dynasty. The temple is a fine specimen of architecture and sculpture with One thousand pillars. There are richly carved pillars, perforated screens, exquisite icons, rock cut elephants and the monolithic dolerite Nandi as components of the temple. An inscription in the temple says it was constructed in the year 1213 CE by Recharla Rudra—a General of Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva 1199–1262

The Tughlaq dynasty of Turkic origin destroyed the Thousand pillar temple during their invasion of South India. In 2004, the temple was renovated by the Government of India.

Why Leech bite doesn’t pain..

Leech bites are not dangerous or painful, just annoying. The bite doesn’t hurt since leeches release an anaesthetic when they bite, but due to the anticoagulant, the wounds bleed a fair bit.

One should not regret what is past. One should only think of the present and future.

Your hair begins growing from a root in the bottom of the follicle. The root is made up of cells of protein. Blood from the blood vessels in your scalp feeds the root, which creates more cells and makes the hair grow. The hair gets pushed up through the skin as it grows, passing an oil gland along the way

💁🏻‍♂‍ GK TODAY

Colour of the Octopus blood is blue bcoz Hemocyanin absorbs all colours except blue which it reflects, making their blood appear blue.

It is a sacred text for the Hindu worshippers of the Goddess Lalita Devi, who considered to be a manifestation of the Divine Mother (Shakti) and Lalitha Sahasranama was composed by 8 vaag devis (vaag devathas) upon the command of Devi Sri Lalitha. The 8 vaag devis are – Vasini, Kameshwari, Aruna, Vimala, Jayinee, Modhinee, Sarveshwari, Koulini. The Lalita Sahasranama tells us the truth that “One can worship Lalitha only if she wishes us to do so”.

The slokas are organised in such a way that, Devi is described from “Head to Feet” (Kesadhi Padham).

What do you do after a leech bite?

First Aid

A. After the leech has been removed, wash with soap and water.

B. Apply a cold pack and take a simple analgesic if required to relieve pain or swelling.

C. Apply pressure if there is bleeding from the bite.

Seek medical attention if the area becomes infected or if a wound or ulcer develops.

Leech removal techniques include burning it with a flame or with the embers of a cigar or cigarette, or dumping salt or vinegar over the animal. These approaches will get the leech off, but they increase the risk of infection for you,.
