Why..❓❓

why ostrich cannot fly

Ostriches, emus, cassowaries, rheas, and kiwis can’t fly. Unlike most birds, their flat breastbones lack the keel that anchors the strong pectoral muscles required for flight. Their puny wings can’t possibly lift their heavy bodies off the ground

How it works ⁉

How to remove Holi colours from face

Apply coconut oil on the face before using a face wash. The oil melts the colour from the face and helps the soap to wash away all the excess dirt and grime.

White vinegar : Add half a cup of white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of Ariel to 2-3 litres of cold water. The acid does the trick here and pulls the colour from your clothes.

Lemon juice: The acidic nature of lemon helps remove the stain. Soak the stain in lemon juice for 15 minutes and scrub lightly with your hands. Wash as usual, but separately.

🛕 VEDIK GNAN

Why Holi z Celebrated

According to Bhagwat Purana the word “Holi” originates from “Holika”, the evil sister of the demon king Hiranyakashipu.   King of Multan and had a boon of indestructible. He demanded that everyone worship him.

His own son, Prahlada disagreed. Devoted to Lord Vishnu. He subjected punishments to his son. none of which affected the boy. Finally, Holika – Prahlada’s evil aunt – tricked him into sitting on a pyre. Holika was wearing a cloak that made her immune to injury from fire, while Prahlada was not. As the fire roared, Holika burned, Prahlada survived. Seeing this, Hiranyakashipu, unable to control his anger, smashed a pillar with his mace. Lord Vishnu appeared as Lord Narasimha and killed Hiranyakashipu. The bonfire is a reminder of the symbolic victory of good over evil. The next day when the fire cooled down, people applied ash to their foreheads, a practice still observed by some people.  Eventually, coloured powder came to be used to celebrate Holi.

Another myth behind commemorating Krishna as well. As a baby, Krishna developed his characteristic dark blue skin colour because the she-demon Putana poisond him with her breast milk, Krishna despaired whether the fair-skinned Radha and other girls would like him because of his skin colour. His mother, tired of the desperation, asks him to approach Radha and colour her face in any colour he wanted. This he does, and Radha and Krishna became a couple. Ever since, the playful colouring of Radha’s face has been commemorated as Holi.
