  26. The suspects in the 2018 Bhima Koregaon case, currently detained at Taloja Central Prison in Maharashtra, will hold a one-day hunger strike on today demanding that action be taken against the “alleged murder of institutions” of father Stan Swamy.

  30. Today The Supreme Court granted bail to an under trial in a corruption case on the ground that he has already undergone more than half of the sentence which could be awarded to him if convicted.
  31. Today The Supreme Court reiterated that Trial Courts cannot, while imposing life imprisonment, order denial of remission to the convicts.
  32. Today The Bombay High Court said in unequivocal terms that it expects the CBI to also investigate the committee that had reinstated, now dismissed Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Waze into the police force after a gap of 15 years.

  34. Today The Maharashtra Government has informed the Bombay High Court that the date of Common Entrance Test (CET) for standard XI admissions will be notified only after the results for the state board standard 10 exams – known as Secondary School Certificate (SSC) – is declared.
