  12. Today the Delhi High Court said while granting bail to a man who spent over 12 years in custody in connection with the 2008 Delhi serial blasts case, Courts mustn’t play coroners but doctors and save rights before they are “extinguished”.
  13. Yesterday The Kerala High Court upheld the the amended provisions of the Kerala University Act which clubbed the posts of Assistant Professors, Associate Professors and Professors of all departments to create separate cadres for the purpose of applying communal reservation principles.

Persistent litigation surrounding the execution of a money decree in a 50-year-old civil suit prompted the Supreme Court to remark in jest that the case was worthy of inclusion in law school syllabus to acquaint students with provisions of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC) relating to execution of decrees.
  15. Today The Karnataka High Court set aside the acquittal of person accused of rape upon finding that the trial court had erred in not allowing the prosecution to examine additional witnesses after the victim and her family turned hostile witnesses.

Yesterday by Invesco Developing Markets Fund over its requisiton for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to Zee Entertainment witnessed heated arguments over whether the applicants can have been seeking “final relief” at an interim stage, The hearing in the application moved before the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai.
  17. Yesterday The Delhi High Court directed the Aam Aadmi party government to ensure that a ‘state-of-the-art’ system is in place for hybrid hearings in district and trial courts in the national capital by December 2, 2021.
  18. Today the Central government told the Supreme Court revised examination pattern for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG Super Speciality exam (NEET PG SS) will be implemented only from 2022.

Today A Division Bench of Bombay High Court refused to interfere with a single judge order restraining Kamaal R Khan from publishing, circulating or repeating defamatory tweets and making false and misleading allegations against Bollywood producer Vashu Bhagnani, his family members and his business.
