  1. Today The Bombay High Court directed the Maharashtra government to pay an additional interim compensation of ₹2 lakh each to three acid attack victims as part of the Maharashtra Victim Compensation Scheme.
  2. Today The Kerala High Court held that, while gold smuggling could threaten economic security of a country, the same is not covered by the provisions of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).

Today a Delhi court hearing Umar Khalid case accused under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in a case related to Delhi Riots of February 2020 the Court are told that a number of persons protested against the Citizenship Amendment Act and the protest was secular in nature he submitted that it was in fact the chargesheet against him that was communal in nature and not the protests.
