- Today The Kerala High Court stayed electricity disconnection notices served on Maradu-based movie theatre, PAN Cinemas, on the condition that they deposit 20 per cent of the fee demanded for “fixed” electricity charges by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) for the month of September.
- Today The Delhi High Court rejected the bail applications of three men and one woman who allegedly tried to desecrate a statue of Dr BR Ambedkar while injuring eight persons and hurling caste-based insults at them on Independence Day.

- Today Madras High Court observation that medical courses in India continue to reaffirm queer-phobia and the urgent need to revamp the existing curriculum in this regard, the National Medical Commission (NMC) last week issued an advisory directing all medical institutions to refrain from approving textbooks that contain ‘unscientific, derogatory and discriminatory information’ about the LGBTQIA+ community.
