  1. Today The Supreme Court directed that a meeting be held between the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA), Vikas Singh and the Judges Committee of the top court to iron out differences regarding the proposal by the Court to employ a hybrid system of functioning of the Court.
  2. Today The Punjab and Haryana High Court directed a District and Sessions Judge at Faridabad to inquire into the allegations that Dalit labour activist Shiv Kumar, who was arrested along with Nodeep Kaur, was illegally detained and tortured in custody.
  3. Today The Punjab & Haryana High Court sought the response of the Central and Punjab governments on a plea filed by a storage company seeking to relocate or remove the protesting farmers who have occupied its warehouse at Patiala, which is debarring the petitioner from carrying on its business.
  4. Today The Karnataka High Court held that an investigating officer has no right to disclose the private data seized from the smartphones or electronic gadgets of an accused to a third party, without the written permission of the concerned court.
  5. Yesterday The Supreme Court held that a person who is ineligible under Section 29A of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC) to submit a resolution plan is barred from proposing a scheme of compromise and arrangement under Section 230 of the Companies Act, 2013.
