- The Mumbai Sessions Court dealing with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act cases has granted bail to former ICICI Bank Managing Director and CEO Chanda Kochhar in connection with the money laundering case involving ICICI Bank and Videocon Group companies.
- A Special Court at Mumbai dealing with Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act) cases placed reliance on the testimony of the 5-year old victim to reject the bail plea of the accused alleged to have committed aggravated sexual assault.
- The Delhi High Court on Friday granted bail to a rape accused whose name was found tattooed on the forearm of the prosecutrix.
- The Delhi High Court today directed New India Assurance Company Limited (NIACL) to issue e-cards to all 29,077 advocates registered as beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Advocates Welfare Scheme.

- The Central Government has filed a transfer petition in the Supreme Court seeking transfer of cases pending in different High Courts for regulation of Over The Top(OTT) platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, Disney Hotstar etc., to the SC.
- The Supreme Court, in a judgment delivered on Thursday(11.02.21), observed that its decision in V Surendra Mohan v. State of Tamil Nadu would not be a binding precedent, after the coming into force of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016.
